Other research projects undertaken recently have included:

  • Normoglycaemia in Intensive Care Evaluation

  • Randomised Evaluation of Normal Vs Augmented Level Renal    Replacement Therapy in ICU

  • Pilot Study to Validate the use of High Flow Humidified Nasal Oxygen Therapy in a CVICU/ HDU

  • HOT 2: Airway Pressure Study  A Study to describe the airway pressures generated by two different methods of non-invasive respiratory support therapies in a group of cardiac surgical patients.

  • A survey to determine the research skills and attitudes of CVICU nurses
  • An audit of glucose control in the CVICU
  • A study to compare the comfort and compliance of two masks used in non-invasive ventilation.
