Is this a paid role?
This is a voluntary role there is no remuneration.

Will I gain knowledge on how a hospital functions or see behind the scenes?
The role of the Site Ambassador is customer services, to meet and greet and give directions only.

Is Parking free ?
Parking is free. We will give you a pass (voucher) to enable you parking access at the sites.

Where do I park? 
We will provide you with instructions and a site map of the Greenlane Clinical Centre or Auckland City Hospital site. 

Do I get a uniform ?
Yes, we will provide a jacket and will also pay for dry-cleaning. A tie for men and a scarf for the ladies will also be provided.
(We ask you to wear a white blouse/shirt and black trousers/skirt and black shoes.) 

How many shifts do I need to do ?
One shift a week on a regular ongoing basis. If you have the time and would like to do more that is welcomed.

What do I do if I am sick or unavoidably detained?
Notify the Volunteer Centre. 

What do I need to do if I lose my ID card?
You must report the lost card to Security immediately and then notify the Volunteer Centre as soon as possible. 

Do I have a coffee /tea break during my shift?
Yes, we will provide tea, coffee and biscuits.
