Clinical Centre is one of
the largest in-house Recruitment Centres in New Zealand. The Careers Centre is the central recruitment service to ADHB and looks after all permanent, casual and fixed term recruitment for the organisation.
The team at the Auckland District Health Board Careers Centre consists of a Recruitment Manager, Team Leader, Candidate Care Consultant, Recruitment Consultants, Para Consultants, Recruitment Administrators and Receptionist.

History
That was then...
Recruitment and Human Resources administration was based throughout Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) services prior to January 2003.
The "RAC" (Recruitment & HR Admin Centre) was formed to bring a focused and specialised approach to certain aspects of Human Resources. The initial Centre consisted of a Manager, Team Leader, Recruitment Consultants, Recruitment Administrators, HR Administrators, Receptionist and various project members. There was 10 staff employed at this time.
The RAC was based in Building 5, Ground Floor, Greenlane Clinical Centre. April 2006 saw another change as the HR administrators merged with Payroll and relocated to building 14.
With the HR admin no longer a part of the RAC it was decided to rename the service the Careers Centre in 2006. The Careers Centre as we now know it, migrated to the refurbished National Women's Hospital site in January 2007.

The Careers Centre is now a strong recruitment team of 25.
The Careers Centre is considered a national leader in In-House recruitment. This success has been achieved by the use of specialised recruitment software (Taleo), as well as the development of specialist websites.
We have gone from 95% reliance on external agencies providing services, to less than 1%.
Particular emphasis has been placed on workforce development throughout our organisation by expanding our graduate and intern programmes. Our reputation has grown both nationally and internationally by representation and attendance at conferences and events such as: UK Expos, Careers Fairs, Job Shops, and Universities throughout New Zealand.
