New Zealand citizens or
individuals who have obtained
permanent residency are entitled to receive publicly funded health care
in New Zealand.
Non-residents of New Zealand may be required to pay for their health
care. If you were not born in New Zealand and have not
previously shown evidence of residency you should bring your
passport with you on your first visit to the Greenlane Clinical
Centre for verification.
To find out if you qualify for access to publicly funded health care
in New Zealand visit the Ministry of Health's Guide to Eligibility
website (http://www.moh.govt.nz/eligibility).
This website provides information about the New Zealand health
system, accident cover, eligibility quick reference table and much
more.
