Management of Amiloride Administration

Administration

  1. Administer independent of food (milk decreases bioavailability).

Nursing Considerations

  1. Assess for signs of adverse effects. Be alert for signs of hyperkalaemia, hyponatraemia.
  2. Monitor fluid balance.
  3. Monitor blood pressure at regular intervals.
  4. Weigh each 2-3 days.
