This guideline provides some data regarding admission rates by gestation, as well as the level of respiratory support required.
This information may be valuable when discussing anticipated neonatal care with parents who are expecting a baby.
Note that the figures include all babies, including those known before birth to have problems.
Refer also to the Borderline Viability Guideline for information on infants 30 weeks gestation and below.
Summary data are presented for the years 1999 and 2000. Further data will be added as available.
