admitted to the Unit have early pregnancy related problems.
General
Gynaecology
The Gynaecology outpatients clinic is based at the Greenlane site. General
gynaecology clinics run by Gynaecologists are held twice a week. The majority of
women who attend are referred by their general practitioner. A smaller number
are referred by private specialists or from other parts of the hospital.
Referrals cover a wide range of women's health issues including menstrual
problems, pelvic pain, requests for tubal ligation and reconstructive surgery to
restore fertility.

service includes pre-operative, post operative and medical management
admissions. Other services include termination of pregnancy in the second
trimester for fetal abnormality; vaginoplasty for women with vaginal atresia;
and a multidisciplinary team for women with chronic pelvic pain.

in the hospital until they are ready to return home or to a location within
close proximity to National Women's.
