PLANNING AND FUNDING The Auckland District Health Board (ADHB) Planning and Funding team together and in partnership with providers, aim to achieve the best possible health and independence for people throughout metropolitan Auckland. The team intact with the health community, actively look at emerging evidence and best practise, analyse data and undertake health needs assessments, to better understand the health needs of their population and maximise the efforts to lift the health of people living in Auckland City. This information assists in the development of health service plans which enables the ADHB to direct activity and funding. All plans involve working closely with stakeholders, providers and the community to ensure the effective delivery of quality healthcare services within available funding. The Funding team funds a wide range of health service providers for services provided to the population of Auckland. The services funded by the District Health Board range from small specific service agreements (contracts) for individual services to multi-million dollar agreements for large complex services such as older persons care, or mental health. Planning and Funding Managers maintain an ongoing relationship with all its providers, and ensure the efficient management of these agreements for the ADHB population. |
