Public health funding for health promotion and health protection still comes mostly from the Ministry of Health, although DHBs are increasingly funding a range of public health programmes.   The largest public health service provider in the Auckland region is the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS).  ADHB has close links with this service provider to ensure appropriate alignment of services to ADHB priorities.
