     Residential Care Line

This site aims to give people information to help make good decisions. The focus is mainly on people aged 65 years and over.

There is information on how to get help to stay at home, short term relief care for caregivers, as well as the systems around long term rest home and hospital care. This includes the services that should be provided for the Maximum Contribution fee.

There is further detail on retirement villages, rental accommodation, home care, day care and activities for older people in the Greater Auckland and Northland regions.

You can make contact via telephone, fax, post or the feedback option direct from this site.  The service operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Residential Care Line is funded through District Health Boards and a contract with Ministry of Health.
